Childhood Influenza-Vaccination Coverage - United States, 2002-03 Influenza Season

小児インフルエンザワクチン接種適用範囲－アメリカ,2002～2003年期

2歳未満の小児では、インフルエンザに関連した入院のリスクが高いため、Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices(ACIP)は2002年より6―23ヶ月齢の小児と家族、さらに小児を世話する人に対してワクチンの接種を奨励している。2004―2005年期からはさらに強化し、インフルエンザ合併症のハイリスク症例と判断される6ヶ月齢―18歳の小児およびその家族にもワクチン接種を奨励している。今回、国内50州および選択都市部28地区におけるNational Immunization Survey(NIS)データに基づき、2002―2003年期における6―23ヶ月齢の小児(2000年1月－2002年7月生まれ)に対するワクチン接種状況の調査結果がまとめられた。対象となった小児13,831名(回答率62.7%)のうち、1回以上のワクチン接種率は7.4%、うち4.4%が完全接種(2002年9月1日―2003年1月末に2回接種または9月1日以前に1回以上と9―12月の間に1回以上接種)を受けていた。1回以上の接種率はテキサス州エルパソ郡2.2%―ロードアイランド州26.6%と地域格差が認められた。初年度の接種率は全体として低く、今後さらにワクチン接種の奨励を推進する必要がある。
