Global Routine Vaccination Coverage, 2015

1974年に、WHOは乳児に対して6種類のワクチンで予防可能な疾患に対する予防接種に関する拡大プログラムを設立している。2015年のWHOおよびUNICEFの推定値に基づいて、ジフテリア・破傷風・百日咳ワクチンの3回目(DTP3)、麻疹含有ワクチン(MCV)の1回目(MCV1)の接種、ポリオウイルスワクチンの3回目(Pol3)の接種率は、2010年から84％～86％に安定している。2014～2015年では、MCVの2回目(MCV2)の推定される世界規模の接種率は、2歳末までに39％から49％に増加し、年長のグループを含めた場合は58％から61％に増加した。新規またはあまり使用されないワクチンの2015年の世界規模の接種率は2010年よりも増加し、ロタウイルスワクチンで8％から23％へ、肺炎球菌結合型ワクチン(PCV)で11％から37％へ、風疹ワクチンで35％から46％へ、ヘモフィラス・インフルエンザ菌タイプB(Hib)ワクチンで42％から64％へ、B型肝炎ワクチンの3回目(Hep3)で74％から84％にそれぞれ増加した。一般的に推奨されているワクチンの接種スケジュールへの導入は大半の国(80％)で実施されているが、接種率の推定値は低所得国で高所得国よりも低下した。低–中所得国に分類された50カ国において、ワクチンと予防接種のための世界同盟(Gavi)非支援国(13カ国)では支援国(37カ国)と比べ、MCV、DTP3、Pol3、HepB3、Hib3ワクチンの90％以上の接種率を達成している国の数の割合が増加した。高予防接種率の到達と維持およびワクチンで予防可能な疾患からの予防を増加させるために、予防接種へのアクセスの公平性の改善が必要である。
