Early Estimates of Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Effectiveness － United States, January 2013

季節性インフルエンザのワクチン有効性に関する早期評価－アメリカ、2013年1月23日

アメリカでは季節性インフルエンザのワクチン接種は6ヵ月齢以上の全ての人に対し推奨されており、2004-05年期よりCDCはインフルエンザによる急性呼吸器感染症(ARI)の予防効果を早期に評価している。今回、2012年12月3日～2013年1月2日にARIにより医療機関を受診した小児および成人1,155例を対象に、今期のワクチンの有効性について分析が行われた。rRT-PCR法にてインフルエンザAまたはB陽性を示した症例は416例(36%、A型:236例、B型:180例)であり、A型のサブタイプ分析では分析が行われた158例全例がH3N2であった。ワクチン接種率は陽性例にて32%(A型:37%、B型:26%)、陰性例にて56%であり、ワクチン有効率(VE)は全体で62%(95%CI=51-71%)、A型:55%(同:39-67%)、B型:70%(56-80%)と推定された。以上のデータから、今期のインフルエンザワクチンの有効性は中等度と判断されるが、接種により疾患の軽症化、抗生物質の投与および医療機関の受診数を減少させるなどの効果があるため、6歳以上でまだ接種していない場合は接種すべきである。
