Self-Reported Concern About Food Security Associated with Obesity - Washington, 1995-1999

自己申告による肥満に関連する食糧安全保障への関心－ワシントン州,1995-1999年

1995-1999 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System(BRFSS)データに基づき、肥満と食糧安全保障への関心との関連性を分析した。BMI 30.0kg/m2以上を肥満と定義し、食糧安全保障への関心について「調査前30日間に本人および家族が十分な食事をとることに関心を持ったか」という質問をした。回答者17,371名中、肥満は3,252名(18.7%)であった。肥満例のうち食糧安全保障に関心を持ったと回答した人は230名(24.7%)、関心を持たなかったと回答した人は2,984名(18.1%)であった。年収$20,000以下、大学未満の学歴、女性、黒人、アメリカインディアン/アラスカ原住民、ラテンアメリカ系、45歳以上の人で肥満例の割合が高値であった。肥満例は座位での生活時間が長く、果物や野菜の摂取が少なかった。また健康状態も不良で喘息の既往が多く認められた。多変量解析では、収入と教育が肥満と相関性を示した。
