Racial/Ethnic Disparities in Influenza and Pneumococcal Vaccination Levels Among Persons Aged 65 Years - United States, 1989-2001

65歳以上の人々におけるインフルエンザおよび肺炎球菌ワクチン接種レベルの人種/民族による相違－アメリカ,1989～2001年

インフルエンザおよび肺炎球菌疾患は65歳以上の人々における重要な死因であるが、成人のワクチン接種率は人種/民族によってかなり差があることが全国調査により明らかになっている。この相違を特徴付けるため、CDCはNational Health Interview Surveys(NHIS)の結果に基づき1989－2001年のワクチン接種率について分析した。2000－2001年の調査では、65歳以上の非ラテンアメリカ系白人9,435名、非ラテンアメリカ系黒人1,341名、ラテンアメリカ系1,133名を対象とした。インフルエンザワクチン接種率は、非ラテンアメリカ系白人および黒人、ラテンアメリカ系でそれぞれ66%、48%、54%、肺炎球菌ワクチン接種率はそれぞれ57%、33%、32%であった。非ラテンアメリカ系白人および黒人、ラテンアメリカ系のワクチン接種率は、高校以上の学歴を有するサブグループ(インフルエンザワクチン:それぞれ61.6%、45.2%、51.4%、肺炎球菌ワクチン:52.8%、27.7%、28.2%)や医師への受診回数が年間10回以上のサブグループ(インフルエンザワクチン:74.2%、53.1%、63.2%、肺炎球菌ワクチン:67.7%、36.9%、39.6%)で差がみられた。この相違を減少させるためには、少数人種/民族におけるワクチン接種の要求の増加、ワクチン継続注文の利用を促進させるいくつかのアプローチが必要である。
