Influenza and COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Among Health Care Personnel — National Healthcare Safety Network, United States, 2023–24 Respiratory Virus Season

医療従事者のインフルエンザおよびCOVID-19ワクチン接種率－ National Healthcare Safety Network、アメリカ、2023-24年呼吸器ウイルスシーズン

Advisory Committee on Immunization Practicesは、医療従事者に対しインフルエンザワクチンを毎年接種するよう推奨しており、2023年9月に生後6カ月以上のすべての人に対し、2023-24年COVID-19ワクチンの接種を推奨した。今回、2023-24年呼吸器ウイルスシーズン(2023年10月～2024年3月)における急性期病院および介護施設の医療従事者におけるインフルエンザおよびCOVID-19ワクチン接種率を調査した。データはアメリカ50州の急性期病院と介護施設からCDCのNational Healthcare Safety Networkへの報告データを分析した。急性期病院(4,114施設)に勤務する医療従事者約880万人におけるインフルエンザワクチン接種率は全体で80.7％であり、licensed independent practitionerにて最も低く(65.7％)、山岳地域にて最も高く(84.5％)、太平洋地域にて最も低く(74.3％)、38州の急性期病院における医療従事者のインフルエンザワクチン接種率は75％以上であった。介護施設(14,294施設)で働く約210万人の医療従事者におけるインフルエンザワクチン接種率は全体で45.4％であり、学生/研修生/ボランティアにて最も高く(58.1％)、従業員にて最も低く(44.5％)、北東部にて最も高く(58.6％)、南部にて最も低く(38.1％)、5州の介護施設にて医療従事者のインフルエンザ接種率は75％以上であった。急性期病院(4,112施設)に勤務する医療従事者約800万人における2023-2024年COVID-19ワクチン接種率は全体で15.3％であり、licensed independent practitionerにて最も低く(12.7％)、大規模施設(16.1％)、都市部(15.6％)、群レベルでの社会的脆弱性指数が高い地域(19.9％)、太平洋地域(20.9％)にて最も高く、山岳部にて最も低く(9.3％)、12州の急性期病院における医療従事者の2023-2024年COVID-19ワクチン接種率は20％以上であった。介護施設(14,281施設)で働く約180万人の医療従事者における2023-2024年COVID-19ワクチン接種率は全体で10.5％であり、licensed independent practitionerにて最も高く(18.8％)、従業員にて最も低く(10.0％)、太平洋地域にて最も高く(14.2％)、南部にて最も低く(8.6％)、2州の介護施設における医療従事者の2023-2024年COVID-19ワクチン接種率は20％以上であった。以上、インフルエンザやCOVID-19などの呼吸器疾患はアメリカの医療施設の医療従事者におけるリスクであり、医療従事者のワクチン接種は従業員の健康を維持し、医療システム回復性を改善するための戦略に有効である。
