Cannabis Use Among Students in Grades 8, 10, and 12, by Sex — King County, Washington, 2008–2021

8年生、10年生、12年生の生徒における性別による大麻使用 ― ワシントン州キング郡、2008年～2021年

青年期の大麻使用は、認知障害、大麻使用障害、運転障害などの転帰の不良と関連している。大麻使用を防止および減少させる戦略の指針とするため、シアトルとキング郡の公衆衛生局は、ワシントン州キング郡の8年生、10年生、12年生の生徒における性別での大麻使用に関する最近の傾向を明らかにし、性別に基づいた差異の傾向を調査した。2008年～2021年の7つの調査期間中におけるHealthy Youth Survey(ワシントン州保健局が管理)のデータが収集され、キング郡の8年生、10年生、12 年生に限定して分析され(1調査サイクルあたりの生徒数33,439～39,391名)、大麻の使用率の推定値が算出され、現在の使用(過去30日間で1日以上)、頻繁な使用(過去30日間で6日以上)における性別に基づいた使用率の差(PD)が評価された。PDモデルでは性別と調査年との相互作用による重み付き一般化線形回帰を使用した。現在の大麻使用率は、2008年、2010年、2012年では男子生徒(各19.2％、20.4％、20.3％)と女子生徒(各4.4％、14.9％、15.5％)ともに横ばいであり、2014年には男子生徒では減少したが(16.4％)、女子生徒では横ばいであり(15.2％)、2021年に男女とも最も低下した(男子7.7％、女子9.0％)。頻繁な使用率の経時的パターンも同様であり、男子生徒(3.7％)と女子生徒(3.6％)の両方で2021年に最も低下した。2008年～2014年の大麻使用率は男子生徒で女子生徒よりも高く(PDは2008年4.8％、2014年1.2％）、2014年から2016年には有意な差はなかったが、2021年には、現在の使用率が初めて男子生徒で女子生徒よりも低下した(PD＝－1.3％）。頻繁な使用率は男女で同等であった。学年別では、現在および頻繁な大麻使用率が最も高いのは12年生で、次いで10年生と8年生であった。学年ごとの性差は全体的なパターンを反映していた。性別または性自認によるリスク因子および予防因子の潜在的な違いを考慮し、個々に合わせた介入の開発は、青年期(8年生、10年生、12年生)の大麻使用削減対策における公平性を促進できる可能性がある。
