COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Among Adolescents Aged 12–17 Years — United States, December 14, 2020–July 31, 2021

思春期齢12～17歳におけるCOVID-19ワクチン接種率 ― アメリカ、2020年12月14日～2021年7月31日

2020年12月11日、FDAは16～17歳の思春期齢の人に対するPfizer社-BioNTech社製COVID-19ワクチンの緊急使用許可(EUA)を発行し、2021年5月20日にはEUAの対象を12～15歳の思春期齢に拡大した。アメリカの思春期齢におけるワクチン接種の進捗状況を評価するため、CDCは2020年12月14日～2021年7月31日のアイダホ州を除く49州およびワシントンDCにおける12～17歳のワクチン接種データ[immunization information system、Vaccine Administration Management System、直接提出データ]を用いて接種率を評価した。2021年8月17日の時点でアメリカにて12～17歳への使用が許可されているのはPfizer社-BioNTech社製のワクチンのみで、この年齢層へのModerna社製およびJanssen社(Johnson & Johnson社)製ワクチンのEUAはされていなかったが、報告された接種例は分析に含めた。2021年7月31日時点で、思春期齢12～17歳の42.4％に対しCOVID-19ワクチンが1回以上接種されており、31.9％がワクチン接種シリーズを完了していた。思春期齢における1回以上のCOVID-19ワクチン接種率は州により異なり、20.2％(ミシシッピ州)～70.1％(バーモント州)であり、接種シリーズ完了率も10.7％(ミシシッピ州)～60.3) (バーモント州)と州により異なっていた。ワクチン接種率は北東部および西海岸にて高く、南部にて低かった。年齢別では16～17歳は1回以上接種率が50.6％、接種完了率が40.3％と最も高く、12～13歳ではそれぞれ30.6％および25.4％、14～15歳では40.9％および30.5％であった。男女による接種率はどの年齢でも同等であった。全体で1回目を接種した思春期齢のから86.8％が推奨される期間内に2回目を接種しており、2回目未接種例のうち2.4％は推奨期間内であり、10.8％は推奨期間を超過(1回目接種から42日より長く経過など)していた。思春期齢に対するCOVID-19ワクチン接種率の改善と接種の実施は、COVID-19関連疾病率および死亡率の低下、学校を安全に再開し対面式授業を容易にするのに重要である。
