Outbreaks Associated with Treated Recreational Water — United States, 2015–2019
処理されたレクリエーション用水に関連するアウトブレイク ― アメリカ、2015年~2019年
処理されたレクリエーション用水に関連するアウトブレイクは、プール、温水浴槽、水遊び場、レクリエーションまたは治療を目的とした人工的に建築された構造物などの水を使う施設の病原体または化学物質が原因である可能性がある。2015年~2019年、36州とワシントンDCの公衆衛生当局は処理されたレクリエーション用水に関連する208件のアウトブレイクを報告した。ほとんどのアウトブレイク(199件、96%)は、公共のプール、温水浴槽、水遊び場に関連していた。また、これらのアウトブレイクにより、少なくとも3,646例の疾患例、286例の入院、13例の死亡をもたらされた。155件(75%)で病因が確認され、76件(49%)はクリプトスポリジウム(胃腸疾患のクリプトスポリジウム症の原因)、65件(42%)はレジオネラ(重症肺炎のレジオネラ症やインフルエンザ様症状で軽症疾患のポンティアック熱の原因)によるものであった。病因が確認された155件のアウトブレイクでは、少なくとも2,953例(81%)の症例と266例(93%)の入院をもたらされた。クリプトスポリジウムとレジオネラは、それぞれ症例の84%(2,492例)、12%(354例)、入院の31%(82例)、67%(177例)を占めた。13例の死亡はすべてレジオネラ症のアウトブレイクで発生した。病因が確認されていない53件のアウトブレイクのうち、20件(38%)は化学的病因が疑われた(過剰な塩素、1つ以上の消毒副生成物、プールの化学的性質の変化など)。ホテル(ホテル、モーテル、ロッジ、民宿など)またはリゾートは、208件のアウトブレイクのうち71件(34%)に関連しており、これらのアウトブレイクの50件(70%)は温水浴槽に関連していた。病因が確認されたホテルまたはリゾート関連アウトブレイク43件のうち、31件(72%)はレジオネラが原因であり、温水浴槽に関連していた。208件のアウトブレイクのうち、107件(51%)が6月から8月に始まった。CDCのModel Aquatic Health Codeの推奨事項の実行は、公共の水を使う施設での処理されたレクリエーション用水に関連するアウトブレイクを防ぐのに役立つ可能性がある。
