Progress Toward Prevention of Transfusion-Transmitted Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C Infection — Sub-Saharan Africa, 2000–2011

B型肝炎およびC型肝炎ウイルス感染症の輸血感染防止への進歩 ―サハラ以南のアフリカ、2000～2011年

WHOのGlobal Database on Blood Safety（GDBS）のB型肝炎ウイルス（HBV）、C型肝炎ウイルス（HCV）に関するサーベイランスより、サハラ以南のアフリカ38カ国における2000/2004年と2010/2011年のデータを分析、年間の献血数とHBV、HCVのスクリーングの実施状況について調査が行われた。年間の献血数は2000/2004年：31,368単位（36カ国、IQR：12,987～80,629）、2010/2011年：86,328単位（38カ国、IQR：30,319～139,207）と増加、95％以上の検体に対しB型肝炎表面抗原（HBsAg）検査を実施する国は29/38カ国（76％）から33/35カ国（95％）、HCV抗体検査を実施する国は13/38カ国（34％）から30/35カ国（86％）に増加した。また、HBVマーカー反応陽性を示す検体は2000/2004年：7.1％（36カ国、IQR:4.1～11.1％）、2010/2011年：4.4％（36カ国、IQR：2.2～7.4％）、HCVマーカー反応陽性を示す検体はそれぞれ1.4％（31カ国、IQR：0.6～3.1％）、0.9％（36カ国、IQR:0.5～1.7％）であった。この期間において、HBsAgマーカー反応性を示す検体は28/34カ国（82％）、抗HCVマーカー反応性は14/29カ国（48％）にて有意に減少し、全体でHBsAg反応性を示す検体は37％、抗HCV反応性を示す検体は51％の減少であり、サハラ以南のアフリカにおいて血液製剤の安全性の改善が示唆された。
