Update: Severe Respiratory Illness Associated with a Novel Coronavirus － Worldwide, 2012-2013

最新情報:新型コロナウイルスによる重症呼吸器疾患－世界各地、2012～2013年

2013年3月7日現在、WHOには新型コロナウイルス感染症が14例報告され、うち8例が死亡している。これらは2012年4月～2013年2月に発症しているが、アメリカでの報告例はない。イギリスでは3例報告され、1例目は60歳男性、パキスタンおよびサウジアラビアに渡航し、2013年1月24日に呼吸器疾患を発症、28日にイギリスへ帰国した。31日、重症下気道疾患のため入院し集中治療を受け、2月1日に採取した呼吸器検体がインフルエンザA(H1N1)ウイルス陽性を示した。2例目は1例目の家族である成人男性であり、2月6日に発症し、持病のため重症化して死亡した。3例目は1例目と接触した成人女性、2月5日に発症したが、入院せずに治療し、19日に回復した。これらの経過から、UK Health Protection Agencyは新型コロナウイルスのヒトからヒトへの感染と判断、アラビア半島およびその周辺国への渡航から帰国し、10日以内に重症急性下気道疾患を来した症例は、現行のガイドラインに従って治療し、速やかにCDCに報告すべきである。
