最新情報:インフルエンザ活性－アメリカ、2011年10月2日～2012年2月11日

2011-12年期におけるインフルエンザ活性の最新情報を報告する。2011年10月2日～2012年2月11日、アメリカではWHOとNational Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System （NREVSS）の共同研究室(約140ヵ所)にて78,783の呼吸器検体が検査され、うち3,120検体(4%)がインフルエンザ陽性であった(A型:2,807、B型:313)。血清型の分析はA型1,934検体にて行われ、A(H3N2):1,624(84%)、A(H1N1)パンデミック09(pH1N1):310(16%)であった。インフルエンザ活性は2011年12月からゆっくりと上昇し、2012年2月11日の週に検査陽性率が15%と、初めて10%を超えた。ILINetによるインフルエンザ様疾患(ILI)による外来受診者(/週)は1.1～2.1%であり、全国基準値(2.4%)を下回った。州別の活性拡大は2012年2月11日の週にて広範囲:1州(カリフォルニア州)、地域的:12州、局所的:17州、散発的:20州およびグアム、ワシントンDCであった。FluSurv-NETデータによるインフルエンザによる入院者数(10万人あたり)は0～4歳：2.2、5～17歳:0.4、18～49歳:0.4、50～64歳:1.0、65歳以上:3.2であった。肺炎およびインフルエンザ(P&I)関連死亡率は5.9～7.9であり、流行閾値を超えたのは1週のみで、小児の死亡は3例(インフルエンザA:1、B:2)報告されている。抗原性の分析ではpH1N1は58検体中56検体がA/California/7/2009、A(H3N2)は257/263検体がA/Perth/16/2009、B型は22/48検体がB/Brisbane/60/2008に類似し、いずれも北半球の2011-12インフルエンザワクチン成分と一致した。また、A(H3N2):309検体、pH1N1:71検体、B:46検体の感受性検査では、全ての検体がオセルタミビル、ザナミビル感受性を示した。今期のインフルエンザ活性は例年に比べ低いが、2月上旬から上昇している。インフルエンザの予防にはワクチン接種が有効であるため、Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP)の勧告に基づき、予防接種を徹底することが重要である
