母乳保育を介する黄熱病ワクチンウイルス伝染－ブラジル、2009年

2009 年4月、ブラジルのリオグランデドスルにおいて、出産後に黄熱病ワクチンの接種を受けた母親に母乳で育てられていた乳児が髄膜脳炎を発症した。22歳の母親は3月23日、妊娠39週にて帝王切開により健常女児を出産した。リオグランデドスルではこの月、黄熱病の感染が広がったため、4月7日(産後15日目)、母親は帝王切開の縫合糸を抜糸するために訪れた病院で、17DD黄熱病ワクチンの接種を受けた。4月12日、母親は頭痛、倦怠感、発熱を来たしたが、医療機関を受診しなかった。15日には生後23日の女児が発熱し、翌日、てんかんの様な動きを示したため入院、この時点で左上肢間代性痙攣を来たし、ジアゼパム(0.15mg)が投与された。口周囲チアノーゼも認められ、酸素飽和度はpO<sub2
