Influenza Vaccination Coverage Among Children Aged 6-23 Months － United States, 2007-08 Influenza Season

生後6～23ヶ月の小児におけるインフルエンザワクチン接種率－アメリカ、2007-08インフルエンザシーズン

2 歳未満の乳幼児は65歳以上を除く他の年齢層に比べてインフルエンザの治療率やインフルエンザ関連入院率が高い。2004年以降、米国予防接種諮問委員会 (ACIP)は生後6～23ヶ月の全ての小児に対して季節性インフルエンザワクチンの接種を勧告しており、さらにフル接種として前シーズンにワクチン未接種、あるいは1回接種小児にはシーズン中2回の接種を勧告している。生後6～23ヶ月の小児における2007-08インフルエンザシーズン中の9～12月のインフルエンザワクチン接種率を評価するため、CDCは2008年National Immunization Survey(NIS)のデータを分析した。この4ヶ月間の生後6～23ヶ月の小児における1回以上ワクチン接種率は40.7%、フル接種率は23.4% であり、2006-07シーズンのそれぞれ31.8%、21.3%から増加した。接種率は50州および参加地域間でかなりの差がみられ、4州と1地域はフル接種率35%(ロードアイランド:40.7%、マサチューセッツ:39.8%、ウィスコンシン:38.4%、コネチカット:35.8%、カリフォルニア州Santa Clara County:40.9%)、2州と3地域はフル接種率＜10%(アーカンソー:8.1%、ミシシッピ:7.1%、カリフォルニア州北部郡:9.6%、テキサス州El Paso County:9.6%、フロリダ州Miami-Dade County:6.4%)であった。生後6～23ヶ月の小児におけるインフルエンザワクチン接種率は依然として低く、今後インフルエンザによる合併症のリスクが高いこの集団におけるワクチン接種の障壁を検討し、接種率を増加させるための戦略を実施する必要がある。
