Licensure of a Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids and Acellular Pertussis Adsorbed and Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine and Guidance for Use as a Booster Dose

2008 年6月24日、FDAは混合ジフテリア・破傷風トキソイド・無細胞百日咳吸着(DTaP)・不活性化ポリオウイルス(IPV)ワクチン(DTaP-IPV [Kinrix])を認可した。この報告は、Kinrixの適応とAdvisory Committee on Immunization practice(ACIP)が示したその使用手引を紹介する。米国の4～6歳の小児を対象とした2件の臨床試験において、混合DTaP-IPVは DTaPとIPVを別々に接取した場合と同等の安全性と免疫原性プロファイルを示すことが明らかになっている。DTaP-IPV(Kinrix)は、 DTaPワクチン接種歴が初回3回はDTaP(Infanrix)・DTaP-B型肝炎-IPV(Pediarix)、4回目がDTaP (Infanrix)であった4～6歳の小児においてDTapワクチンシリーズの5回目・IPVシリーズの4回目として使用する。本ワクチン使用により、 4～6歳の小児におけるDTaPおよびIPV予防接種の完了に必要な注射実施数が減少する。一連の接種で製薬会社の異なるDTaPワクチンを使用した場合の安全性と免疫原性に関するデータは少ないため、ACIPは可能な限り同じ製薬会社のワクチンの使用を勧めている。
