Monitoring Poison Control Center Data to Detect Health Hazards During Hurricane Season － Florida, 2003-2005

ハリケーンシーズン中の健康上の有害因子検出を目的とした中毒コントロールセンターのデータモニタリング－フロリダ州、2003～2005年

フロリダ州では2004年8月13日－2005年10月24日の間に8つのハリケーンが上陸し、洪水や停電などの被害をもたらした。2004年秋、Florida Department of Health（FDOH）はFlorida Poison Information Center Network（FPICN）データ収集を開始し、2005年のハリケーンシーズンには健康上有害となるFPICNデータのモニタリングを連日行っている。今回、2005年のモニタリングおよび2004年のデータがレトロスペクティブに分析された結果、携帯型ガソリン発電機による一酸化炭素（CO）中毒が多発しており、2004年にはハリケーンチャーリー後に38件、フランシス後49件、ジェーン後42件報告されている。2005年にはハリケーンデニスの上陸から約18時間後に2家族からCO中毒の報告があり、8月25日のカトリーナ上陸の際は28件報告された。ウィルマ上陸の際は10月24日－11月4日にCO中毒が計58件報告され、またガソリン不足のため炭化水素燃料曝露が増加した。ハリケーン後のCO中毒以外では、バッテリー（電気による皮膚の損傷）、火/マッチ/爆発物への曝露および虫や蛇による咬傷/刺傷があり、それらの発生は2004、2005年ともに同等であった。
