予防接種登録の進展－アメリカ,2002年1月～12月

予防接種登録はある地域内におけるワクチン接種データを収集するための信頼できるコンピュータ処理情報システムである。多様な医療提供者が有するワクチン接種記録の統合やワクチン接種率の評価などを可能にするこの登録は、ワクチン接種率の増加と高接種率の維持のために有用なツールである。2010年国民健康目標の1つは、6歳未満の小児の予防接種登録参加率を95%まで増加させることである。この報告は、50州およびワシントンDCの予防接種プログラムにおける登録活動に関する調査であるCDCの2002年Immunization Registry Annual Report(2002 IRAR)をまとめたものである。それによると、37州(72%)は州全域、7州(14%)は一部地域を対象として登録活動を実施しており、残り7州は登録活動を実施していなかった。全国的には、2種類以上のワクチン接種記録が登録された6歳未満の小児の割合は約43%であった。4州(アリゾナ、ミシシッピ、ノースダコタ、サウスダコタ)は6歳未満の小児の予防接種登録参加率が95%以上であった。州全域あるいは一部地域を対象として登録活動を実施している44州では、公的ワクチン接種機関の75%、私的ワクチン接種機関の31%が2002年後期6ヶ月間にデータを提出していた。また51州の予防接種プログラム全てが、予防接種登録のために確立された12項目の機能的基準を満たすために努力していると報告した。2010年国民健康目標の達成には、データの質を改善するための機能的基準の実施率増加が必要である。
