Norovirus Activity - United States, 2002

ワシントン州、ニューハンプシャー州、ニューヨーク市における最近のノロウイルス活性とCDCによるアウトブレイク由来ノロウイルス株の検査データの報告。2002年11－12月、ワシントン州クラーク郡のSouthwest Washington Health Districtに、6ヶ所の長期ケア施設(LTCF)、市民病院、外来診療所、刑務所における急性胃腸炎(AGE)のアウトブレイク10件が報告された。発症者数は354例で、うち327例(92%)は4ヶ所のLTCFにて発症した。2002年、New Hampshire Department of Health and Human ServicesはLTCF、介護施設、レストラン、学校、宿泊施設のあるサマーキャンプにおけるノロウイルス関連AGEのアウトブレイク35件について調査した。発症者数は2,312例で、LTCFと介護施設における29件のアウトブレイクのうち28件は2002年11－12月に報告された。2003年1月1日以降、さらに11件のノロウイルス関連AGEのアウトブレイクが報告され、調査が続けられている。2002年11月6日－2003年1月13日、ニューヨーク市では66件のノロウイルス関連AGEのアウトブレイクが報告された。アウトブレイクは療養施設、LTCF、リハビリテーション施設の他、病院、レストラン、ホームレス保護施設、学校で認められ、約1,700例が感染した。2002年5－12月、CDCは米国内における48件のAGEのアウトブレイクから入手した便37検体をRT-PCR法にて検査し、うち27検体にノロウイルスを確認した。この27検体中、アーカンソー州、ジョージア州、ケンタッキー州、ノースカロライナ州、ユタ州およびクルーズ船から得られた11検体は同一のノロウイルス株(Farmington Hills株)を有していることが判明し、さらに、ニューヨーク市およびニューヨーク市救急診療部から得られたノロウイルス陽性のアウトブレイクの検体でも同一のウイルス株が検出された。
