予防接種登録の利用とその普及－アメリカ，2001年

アメリカの健康目標の1つに2010年の6歳以下の小児の全予防接種率を95%とすることが挙げられ、今回、CDCによる2000年のアメリカ50州およびワシントンDCにおける予防接種登録年次報告(CY2001IRAR)の調査結果報告がまとめられた。51の調査対象のうち32(63%)が国勢調査に基づき、管轄区域内にて予防接種登録を行っており、6歳以下の小児の49%、114万人が該当していた。アメリカでは全ての州において予防接種登録のための13の機能的基準項目を掲げ、現在14州が11以上の項目をクリアしている。今後、この制度の普及により小児の予防接種率向上が期待される。
