ABOUT

Translation Overview

We specialize in medicine and pharmacy, providing highly specialized translations. We strive to maintain quality by providing our translators with regular feedback and the latest medical information.

If you request an English native speaker check for Japanese-to-English translations, we will deliver the final product after it has been revised by a native speaker with extensive specialized knowledge.

We cater to your specific needs, including partial translations (such as comparing old and new versions), combinations of translation and English revision, and requests for specific terminology.

For English-to-Japanese / Japanese-to-English translations, we can provide ISO 17100 compliance (additional fee).

We strictly maintain the confidentiality of your manuscript content (we can provide a non-disclosure agreement if necessary).

In addition to translation between English and Japanese, we also accept translation requests from / to languages other than English*.

By combining our translation service with other services by IMIC, such as document supply, we can provide a one-stop solution through to the delivery of your translated materials.

Q3
Can you translate documents written in an unidentified language, or handwritten documents that are difficult to read?
A3
Please send us the original document, and we will identify the language and provide a quote. We will also decipher and translate handwritten sections to the best of our ability.
Q4
I’m in a hurry. How long does it take to receive the translation?
A4
It varies depending on the volume and language. Please let us know if you have a specific deadline in mind. We will create a tentative schedule based on your desired deadline and provide you with a quote.
Q5
How long does it take to receive a quote?
A5
We review quote requests and inquiries sent during business hours on the same day. However, for large volumes or languages other than English, it may take some time to provide a quote. If your request is received outside of business hours, on weekends, or on holidays, we will respond on the next business day or later.
Q6
What kind of background do your translators have?
A6
All IMIC translators and native-speaking checkers specialize in the medical and pharmaceutical fields and have many years of experience.
Q7
Is a native speaker check necessary for Japanese-to-English translations?
A7
Please choose based on your intended use of the document. Adding a native speaker check ensures the final English text sounds natural to native speakers and effectively conveys the intended meaning.
However, if you are satisfied as long as the original content is translated accurately and completely, if your budget is limited, or if you are in a hurry, you may consider opting out of the native speaker check.
