1 Request

Please inform us of your intended use, the original source for reproduction, the desired reproduction format, and the number of copies if you are requesting reprints.
2 Rights status investigation

In accordance with your purpose of use, we investigate the rights holders—including tracing any transfers of rights—and confirm the terms of use and licensing fees.
3 Official order confirmation

We will present the licensing fees and terms of use for your review before you place an order. It is possible to conclude the process after the investigation phase without proceeding further.
4 License application

Once we receive your official order, we will proceed with the application to acquire the license.
5 License acquisition

We will obtain and report the license number and necessary permission documents to you.
For reprints, we will order and inspect the physical copies, as well as coordinate the delivery destination and arrival date.
6 Payment of licensing fees

Based on the invoice, IMIC will act on your behalf to pay the licensing fees, including handling overseas remittances.
7 Billing

We will issue an invoice for the investigation fee and the actual licensing expenses (reprint fees / shipping costs).
