Selecting Only the Necessary Literature Information

We will provide a list of literature information (title, name of authors, journal name, volume and issue, page numbers, abstract, etc.) as search results.
For items where you wish to obtain the full text, you can use this list to request the document supply service.

For Periodic Delivery of the Latest Information, Consider “Expert Search: SDI”.

We will regularly deliver search results from commercial literature databases on the topics you specify, at the frequency of your choice (weekly, biweekly, or monthly). You can use these results to update your company's internal literature databases.
Furthermore, our search professionals will provide ongoing "search query maintenance." By regularly reviewing updated database controlled vocabularies (keywords) and evolving search terms over time, we ensure your search queries are always optimized and up to date.
This ongoing service is more cost-effective than placing individual, ad-hoc search requests, and the application process is required only once at the initial setup.

How to Fill Out the Application Form

Search Topic	To ensure you receive accurate search results, please describe your research topic as specifically as possible. Example) “Reports of vomiting as an adverse drug reaction of Drug A; if none exist, general information on the adverse drug reactions of Drug A” “The relationship between AGML (acute gastric mucosal lesions) or acute gastritis and HP (Helicobacter pylori)” “Recent papers and conference presentations by Dr. XX at Hospital A regarding atherosclerosis over the past 5 years” Please provide the full spelling of abbreviations or include an explanation of their meaning. Please include the English terms for drug names and proper nouns whenever possible.
Time Period	If you have a specific time period for your research—such as a particular year or the past X years—please specify it. If no time period is specified, we will search all years included in the database.
Target	If you have a specific research target, please select from the options below. Human: Search for literature on humans (clinical studies) Animal: Search only for literature on animals (laboratory animals, etc.) No restrictions: No filtering desired
Number of Records	Please specify the number of literature records you wish to retrieve. If no number is specified, we will retrieve 20 records per database.
A Broader Search in Case of Fewer Results	If you select “Yes,” we will expand the scope of the survey topic as needed to perform the search.
Target Database	If you are searching for domestic literature, select “Domestic”; if you are searching for overseas literature, select “Overseas”; if you are searching for both, please select both. * If no selection is made, we will use the JMEDPlusJ (domestic) and MEDLINE (overseas) databases. If you wish to use other databases, please enter the database name.

Delivery Method

Email Delivery: The literature information list will be sent to you as an email attachment.
* Data formatting into your preferred file types is available for an additional fee.

Delivery Deadline

The delivery date will be determined based on the details of your research.

File Conversion Service

We offer an optional service to convert search results into your desired file format (such as MS Excel, CSV, or tab-delimited text).

Search & Copy (Document Supply Service)

We will work with the department of Document Supply Service to provide you with copies of the literature found in your search results.
You do not need to request copies each time you receive search results.

Duplicate Data Removal Service

If you are using multiple databases, we offer an option to remove duplicate results (*) from your search.
*If you wish to conduct a broad and comprehensive search, we recommend using multiple databases, including both domestic and overseas ones.
In such cases, search results may be duplicated across databases.

Expert Search	This is a volume-based pricing structure, consisting of the basic search fee plus actual search costs. A separate management fee will be charged. Additionally, for some searches, we may provide a customized quote. Basic Search Fee: Based on the number of databases used. For 1 database: ¥13,200 For 2 databases: ¥19,800 For each additional database, the fee increases by ¥6,600. Actual Search Costs: Fees vary depending on the database. *All prices include tax. If the subject of the search is complex or highly specialized, a supplementary charge may be added to the basic fee. We will notify you in advance if this applies.
