Ebola Active Monitoring System for Travelers Returning from West Africa — Georgia, 2014–2015

西アフリカから帰国した旅行者に対するEbola Active Monitoring System ― ジョージア州、2014～2015年

エボラウイルス病(Ebola)は西アフリカで流行し、症例は累計約25,000例となり、2014年10月25日、西アフリカからの旅行者がダラス滞在中にEbolaと診断された。CDCでは同月に被災国からアメリカへの旅行者に対する入国スクリーニング検査と到着後のEbolaの徴候および症状の積極的なモニタリング(被災国出国から21日間)の強化を推奨している。ジョージア州では2014年10月25日よりアクティブモニタリングプログラムを開始、ジョージア州のDepartment of Public Health (DPH)は届出対象疾患に関するweb上の電子報告システムをもとに、Ebola Active Monitoring System (EAMS)を作成した。EAMSでは患者の氏名と誕生日からモニタリングへの登録の検索、症状のオンライン上での記録、モニタリング期間中の管理および要約統計量をオンライン上にて確認することが可能であり、患者の人口統計学データ、接触および旅行に関する情報、リスク評価などが含まれる。2014年10月25日～2015年3月31日において、DPHは1,070例をモニターし(1日平均114例)、うち699例(65％)がEAMSログインシステムにて日々の症状を報告していた。医師の診断が行われた症例は30例(2.8％)、Ebolaの検査(RT-PCR法)は3例に行われ、全例陰性であった。
