シリア難民女性および小児の栄養状態 ― ヨルダン、2014年4～5月

内戦によるシリアからレバノン、トルコ、ヨルダン、イラクなど近隣国への難民は約280万人と推定され、ヨルダンではザータリ難民キャンプが最も大きく、約79,000人の難民が生活し、他に50万人もの難民が都市部（主に首都:アンマン）、町、村、北部の4県（イルビド、マフラク、ジャラシュ、ザルカ）に住んでいる。食料はWorld Food Programme（WFP）より支給され、United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees（UNHCR）およびNGOより現金が支給されているが、栄養状態の優れない難民が多く、UNHCR、WFP、UNICEF、Medair InternationalおよびCDCにより2014年4～5月、ザータリ難民キャンプおよび難民受け入れ地域の乳幼児（6～59カ月齢）と再生産年齢の非妊娠女性（15～49歳）を対象に栄養状態の評価が行われた。評価対象はザータリキャンプにて乳幼児：327人、女性：314人、受け入れ地域にて乳幼児：483人、女性：630人であり、小児の全急性栄養不良[身長に対する体重のzスコア（WHZ）－2未満]は、ザータリキャンプ：1.2％、受け入れ地域：0.8％、成長障害[年齢対する身長のzスコア（HAZ）－2未満]はそれぞれ17.0％、9.0％、貧血（ヘモグロビン11g/dL未満）は48.4％、26.1％に認められ、出産年齢女性の貧血はそれぞれ44.8％、31.1％に認められた。小児および母親の適切な微量栄養素状態を維持し、貧血のリスク因子に対処していくことが急務であると思われる。
